A Late Birthday Card Blowing In

The elements were working against me in making this card. My printer was out of ink and then wouldn't work when I got new ink cartridges. I wanted to make it for my son Benjamin's birthday last week but it just didn't happen. So here it is a few days late.

I saw the challenge for this card with bubbles on Hambo Hoedown and inspiration just hit me. Benjamin loves bubbles.

Mother's Day Card

Mother's day is just around the corner! I saw a blog this week with a card challenge using a sketch. I fell in love with it and decided I could make a mother's day card for my mom. I worked on it off and on all day today and it is finally done though it probably won't make it on time as it's still at my house and not in the mail. I am notoriously horrible at mailing things. Thankfully I have a wonderful mother who doesn't care and loves me regardless of my shortcomings in the mailing items department.

The blog I found is http://bmd-creations.blogspot.com/ Bearly Mine Designs! Super cute stuff over there. She designs papers that you can print for making cards or scrapbooking. I fell in love and while poking around I found she has a card challenge blog too! http://bearlymine-challenges.blogspot.com/

So I am entering my card for my darling mother in this Sketch Card Challenge . I used a few of her papers that I felt were just perfect for my mother when I found them in the first place!

It's a Girl Baby Shower Card

I am going to a baby shower tomorrow and had to make a new card to go with my gift. My friend at church is having a baby girl (I think it's the year of the girl again).
I am entering this card in two challenges:

Stamping Flowers

I tried some new things and I'm not sure how much I liked it. I do like the flowers and had fun stamping them but the Thank You I should have chosen a different ink color. I forgot that the embossing ink takes on the color of the ink used instead of keeping it's white color. Ooops.
I am entering this card in the Share the Good News challenge over at The Crafty Pad. They have some amazing looking cards. I defintely need to get some old books that I can play with for crafting like this because what I had was not my first choice.

Hello Friend

I do love to craft but lately when I have time I don't feel inspired. I feel like most everything I look at is so amazing and I can't quite compete. I also think the mess of my crafting space has something to do with it. Which I am working on but I only have a little free time so not much happens.
I found some time to craft this weekend and created the below two cards. I'm entering them in the Whoopsi Daisy Challenge of Lace and Pearls. I don't have any real pearls so I used my liquid pearls.

The Magic of Winter

My craft room has been a disaster. I have too many projects going on (yes I said too many projects...your eyes are not deceiving you). I've been working to clean up my room and make space for Benjamin, reorganize for like the 5th or 6th time (okay maybe like the 10th or 12th time). I finally got it cleaned up enough to get something done though.
I made a card (it's not the only thing I've done but it's what this post is actually about).
Kimberly over at Craft Spot does a challenge each week and this week it was Winter Wonderland and using glitter. She makes some really cute stuff.
I dove in at the almost 11th hour and got something made to enter. I think it's cute.
I used my Winter Wonderland Cricut cartridge to create this card. I also used a lot of scraps which is always nice (oh that reminds me I need to organize my scraps of paper).
Hope you are having a great weekend!

So Many Challenges

Sunday afternoons like yesterday are always my favorite. No phone calls, no meetings, no plans, good food, chocolate, family time and crafting time!!!

I was able to get a few different cards created which was nice.

This one I did for a monochromatic challenge over here at The Crafty Pad. Doing this actually showed me how hard it is to do and that I need to open myself up to similar colors and patterns. I did also challenge myself to use a color I don't normally use. I loved out the buttons turned out. It reads "Sew...How are you?" Cute huh?! I found this paper while doing my other card and couldn't pass it up. Just a simple plain card.

I created this card to meet the color challenge here at Hamboe Hoedown.

I found a super cute card over here and was inspired by it. I created this card after seeing it.
Don't you just love this paper. It's a simple but cute Halloween card that I am submitting in the Halloween challenge over here at One Stop Craft.

This one is definitely one of my favorites that I created. I did some layered ornaments and then hung them from a piece of ribbon. I am entering this card in the Baubles or Anything Hanging challenge here at Crafty Hazlenuts Christmas Challenge.

I also made myself a light box to take photos in. It's not a very good one but I will play around with it.

Made Room to Craft

I took some time to craft tonight! My crafting room is beyond me right now. It's very overwhelming. I need to clean, organize and the dreaded step...get rid of things. We shall see if that part will actually come into play.

Anyways I made a slight dent in the room and while cleaning up a few things decided to make a card.

I am entering it the below two challenges:

I had fun making the card tonight and getting my creative juices flowing again.

Happy Crafting!

Circular Inspiration

I am actually getting overwhelmed by all the card ideas I am seeing because I don't think I do as good a job as what some people create. But I keep pushing forward and I always like what I come up with. I need a day of crafting and creating things on my Cricut (hopefully this Saturday) and I also need to spend some serious time cleaning up my craft space.

Here is a card that is circular which meets the requirements over at Whoopsi Daisy. Their challenge this week was nothing square.

I also did some embossing (heat style I believe) to go into the My Craft Spot Challenge and The Crafty Pad Designs challenge.

Thank You Fall Card

I thought a sketch challenge would be easy. They provide a layout of what you should make your card look like and then you just follow it. Sounds easy enough right? Wrong! I really got stumped for a bit. I was like what do I fill the space with? What cute phrase do I use? What die cut do I use?

I decided to just put things together and see what came of it. And guess what...

I LOVE IT!!!

Challenge - Peachy Keen Stamps - Sketch Challenge #56

I am trying to keep going and make multiples of each card so I get some extra cards stocked up on and just practice my card making skills.

Hambo Hoedown Birthday Card

This is a gate card I created for the challenge over at Hambo Hoedown.

Thank You Caterpillar Card

I love how this turned out. It's really amazing to me how scraps can come together and make something so cute!

Summer Time with Wings

This past weekend I had family over, which was fabulous. Isn't family wonderful?! On Saturday I couldn't let the day pass though without working on a card. This is my summery with wings creation. I added some die cuts to the middle of the flower to make it pop more. What do you think?

Folded Christmas Tree Card

The challenge this week over at The Crafty Pad was to make a particular style of card. I am still learning about card making so I had to look up the terms. I looked up Fold Back Card and found some Christmas inspiration.

I used my Winter Wonderland Cricut Cartridge and made some Christmas tree's. I used this beautiful gold Christmas paper I got at Costco years ago (I have lots of scraps leftover for projects) to do the shadow of the tree. I then cut the tree down the middle and centered it on the front of the card. I added some green paper to be able to write inside the card.
I am so making more of these cards. Aren't they just fun?

'Paws' to enjoy life! Card

The challenge for this week over at Hambo Hoedown was to make a circular card. I had fun coloring the image while Benjamin tried to color with me. He had found my crayons.

I think I am going to make a few more cards like this because it is a great message to us all. Slow down and enjoy life. We get so caught up in everything so easily that we miss the important things.

So my challenge to you today is to 'Paws' for a moment to enjoy some family time.

Bird Tag

I made this simple tag. It seems there are never tags on gift bags or least they are never on the one's I use (I like to reuse bags). I will using this one Saturday for a baby shower.

I am entering this tag in the Tag Your It challenge over at One Stop Craft Challenge.

Thank You Flower Card

Last one today! I really am enjoying this. This last one is hosted by Crafty Creations Challenges. It's a Thank You challenge. You can never have a enough thank you cards on hand.

Jesus is the Reason Card

We all know I love Christmas. And I am super happy with this new blog I found. They do Christmas challenge every week. Their point is if you work on it all year round then you will be ready come Christmas and not have to sweat it. Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge had a Anything Goes challenge this week. I must say I love this card. I was super happy with how it turned out. It seemed as I went along crafting last night the better they got.

Oh Christmas Tree Card

I admit I had already created this card before I found this challenge. But it's a Christmas challenge. Right up my alley! And I only created it this past weekend. This challenge is hosted by Whoopsi Daisy Challenge and it's Christmas in June.

Have a Bee-utiful Day Card

I had fun with this card. I have a lot of die cuts and things already cut out due to being leftovers from previous projects and activities. So when I looked at my stuff I knew exactly what I was going to do for the challenge over at The Crafty Pad. Their challenge this week is using Bold/Bright colors or Soft/Pastel colors. I went for the Bold and Bright. Can you tell?

This was actually my second attempt. I wrote on my first with a gel pen the saying but it didn't look as good so I tried again by printing it up.
